EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL AT DANCE BASE 2008

A compelling duet of haunting beauty that explores the mystery and secrets of a drowned man.
Performed by founder/choreographer Alan Greig of X Factor Dance Company, and Peter Kyle, a gifted dancer from New York. "Unspoken" comprises of fluid duets of athletic expressive grace, charismatic solos and an appearance by Betty, the psychic medium. Peter Kyle is a former member of the Nikolais/Mark Morris Company in New York, and this is the first time that he will perform in Edinburgh.

Throughout the Festival Fringe 2008, X Factor Dance is delighted to curate a unique exhibition displayed at Dance Base, which explores the relationship between artist and photographer over a ten-year period. From the early days of X Factor Dance through its breadth of imagination, output and influences. This exhibition charts a historic archive (1998 – 2008) of X Factors choreographic influences, through its unique style and influential collaborations with other European and international choreographers and takes you on a insightful journey, through the world of contemporary dance.

INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION
New York here we come!
DECEMBER 2008 – MARCH 2009

X Factor Dance Company is delighted to announce an international collaboration with leading New York Choreographer, Gerald Casel Dance and his leading dancers. This is a result of Alan Greig's recent journey to New York, working with Gerald Casel’s company and exploring a potential collaboration for later this year. Alan Greig and  Gerald Casel will develop a brand new creative dance piece and will be in residence at Dance base from 8 December 2008 for 5 weeks. The piece will premiere in Edinburgh and tour early Spring 2009 in Scotland, followed by a final weeks performance at Merce Cunningham School in New York.
